Dem candidate erupts in profane defense of Hasan Piker as party figures distance themselves

Fox News · 4 hours ago

Pennsylvania state representative Chris Rabb, a democratic socialist running for Congress, strongly criticised Democrats who have distanced themselves from left-wing streamer Hasan Piker. The dispute matters because it highlights divisions within the Democratic Party over associations with controversial online political figures and allegations of antisemitism.

Rabb, who won a four-way primary in Pennsylvania’s heavily Democratic 3rd District, previously appeared with Piker and argued that criticism of the association reflected a double standard. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Representatives Josh Gottheimer and Brad Schneider have condemned Piker’s remarks about Jewish Americans, while Michigan candidate Abdul El-Sayed said Piker does not speak for his campaign. Rabb faces independent Dennis Mahoney in November and is strongly favoured to replace retiring Representative Dwight Evans.

  • Rabb defended Hasan Piker as Democratic criticism intensifies.
  • Party figures cited alleged antisemitic remarks by Piker.
  • The dispute exposes Democratic divisions over controversial allies.
