- She backed Republican nominee Mike Rogers after losing the Democratic primary.
- Stevens said 90 per cent of her other midterm votes would go to Democrats.

## Summary

The newly added coverage reports that members of Haley Stevens’s official staff, including her longtime chief, resigned after she endorsed Republican Senate nominee Mike Rogers, according to her spokesperson. The departures add to the fallout from the endorsement, which has intensified Democratic divisions in Michigan’s midterm campaign.

Stevens backed Rogers three months after losing the Democratic primary to Abdul El-Sayed, saying El-Sayed had told her not to help with his campaign. She said she would still vote for Democratic candidates in 90 per cent of other races; Rogers welcomed her support, while El-Sayed declined to discuss the endorsement at a campaign event.
