## Key points

- Gossip column revisits Derryn Hinch’s past affair claims
- It also covers Sarrah Le Marquand’s move to TV
- The piece relies heavily on insider anecdotes and speculation

## Summary

This article is a gossip-style column covering two separate media and entertainment stories.

- The first item revisits broadcaster Derryn Hinch’s past relationship with actor Rowena Wallace, claiming he used his 3AW radio programme to send her covert signals when his then-wife Jacki Weaver was away. It matters mainly as a fresh retelling of a long-running celebrity affair involving prominent Australian media figures, framed as insider recollection rather than new public-interest reporting.
- The second item focuses on Cosmopolitan editor Sarrah Le Marquand’s move to work with Karl Stefanovic on the *Today* programme, outlining what unnamed magazine insiders supposedly think of the switch. The piece suggests her move reflects the changing state of magazine publishing and television media, while centring on industry gossip about reputation, ambition and workplace dynamics.
- Much of the detail is anecdotal and attributed to unnamed sources or past personal accounts rather than on-the-record evidence. The column mixes personal history, media-industry commentary and speculation, with no major new disclosures beyond colourful claims about Hinch’s alleged on-air code and reactions to Le Marquand’s career change.
