Ewan McGregor has said he would like to continue playing Obi-Wan Kenobi for the rest of his career, but believes Disney is not currently prepared to bring the character back. His comments suggest that no further Obi-Wan project is imminent, despite continuing interest from the actor and fans.
McGregor previously returned as the Jedi Master in Disney+’s Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which reunited him with Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. The six-episode series was released in 2022, and Disney has not announced a second season or another Obi-Wan-led production.
