Devil Master reveal new album Bloody Dreams and unveil opening single

Stereogum · 8 hours ago

American punk-metal band Devil Master have announced a new album, Bloody Dreams, due out on 4 September via Relapse Records. It follows their 2023 record Ecstasies Of Never Ending Night, and the announcement arrives alongside the lead single and video for opening track "You Worms' Vain Delusions". The news matters to fans of the underground black-metal and punk scene, marking the Philadelphia group's return with new material and a European tour.

The album was written entirely by frontman Darkest Prince (also known as Integrity bassist Francis Kano), who cites Greek and Andean folk music as key influences and frames the record around the etymology and history of the word "gothic". Guest appearances come from Sigh's Mirai Kawashima and Power Trip's Chris Ulsh, a former member. The six-track LP includes songs such as "Sex With Succubus" and "Death Anthem", while the Hayden Hall-directed single video leans into 1980s VHS horror aesthetics. A European tour, partly supported by Sigh, runs from 3 to 15 September across Poland, Germany, France and other countries.
