## Summary

Mark Hendrickson, 46, and his sons Alan, 15, and Case, 13, died when a small plane crashed near Swampy Pass in Colorado’s remote Gunnison National Forest. The deaths leave the boys’ mother, Jenni, and their surviving brother, Coen; the family has asked for prayers and support.

Emergency responders were called at about 9.20am on Saturday and found all three dead at the scene. Authorities have not said what aircraft Hendrickson was flying, where it was headed or what caused the crash; the investigation involves the county sheriff’s office, the FAA, the National Transportation Safety Board and the US Forest Service. FAA records show Hendrickson held a private pilot’s licence, and Alan attended Coal Ridge High School.
