Dexter and The Moonrocks Announce New Album ‘Friends That I Don’t Like’
Texas rockers Dexter and The Moonrocks have announced their new full-length album, 'Friends That I Don't Like', due for release on 2 October via Severance Records/Big Loud Rock. It follows their 2025 EP 'Donkey Flats' and marks a step forward for a band that has often resisted being pinned to a single genre, blending elements of country, grunge, alt-rock and southern rock.
The album will include previously released singles '12 Steps', 'If You Could Talk' and the viral 'Freakin' Out', alongside new track 'It's A Lot'. Drummer Ryan Fox said the record represents the band embracing their identity as "four blue-collar rockers from small-town Texas" rather than conforming to genre expectations, while guitarist Ryan Anderson described 'It's A Lot' as reflecting the challenges that came with a "life-changing" past year for the group.
