## Summary

Dhani Harrison, son of Beatle George Harrison, has teamed up with acclaimed Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich to form a new band called Dragonflies, whose self-titled debut album is set for release on 18 September via Dark Horse Records/BMG. The pairing marked a notable departure for Harrison, who typically leads his own solo projects but here stepped into the role of singer and guitarist while Godrich shaped the material, describing their creative dynamic as "one person throwing something in the air and the other person catching it."

The pair unveiled the project with lead single "Slower", accompanied by a hand-drawn animated video from director RUFFMERCY depicting figures jogging through towns, woods and beaches. The collaboration traced back to lockdown, when Harrison sought Godrich's advice while making his 2023 solo album Innerstanding, leading to sessions at Godrich's Brixton studio where the two built songs from tape loops; Harrison described the experience of ceding creative control to Godrich as "humbling" and "a new experience."
