Sean 'Diddy' Combs' release date from prison has been moved forward to 21 January 2028, marking his earliest scheduled release date yet. Originally set for 8 May 2028, the adjustment brings his release four months closer, though the Federal Bureau of Prisons has not explained the reasoning behind the change. Combs was sentenced to four years and two months in prison following conviction on two counts of transporting prostitutes across state lines, whilst being acquitted of the more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. His ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura provided graphic testimony during trial, alleging abuse spanning over a decade. Since his imprisonment, Combs has faced various allegations of misconduct, including an unauthorised phone call and an alleged altercation with another inmate, though his representatives deny any rule violations and emphasise his focus on rehabilitation and personal growth.
