Shoegaze band Diiv have announced a new album, ZIRP!, produced by A. G. Cook, due out on 30 October 2026. The pairing continues Cook's prolific run of high-profile collaborations this year and marks a notable shift for Diiv, bringing together the producer's recent pivot towards anthemic, grungy guitar sounds with the band's established shoegaze style.

No music or singles have yet been shared, but the announcement was accompanied by an unusual marketing campaign: some fans received a business card bearing a QR code and phone number that, when called, plays a telemarketer-style recording describing ZIRP! as "the future of alternative multimedia entertainment" and using corporate buzzwords about "challenging assumptions" and thinking "on a global scale". Cook has been heavily in demand throughout 2026, having worked on Charli XCX's film soundtrack for The Moment and her album Music, Fashion, Film, as well as reissuing material from his Dux Content project with Danny L Harle.
