- He is expected to be extradited to California.

## Summary

Bryant Moreland, the former YouTube personality known as EDP445, was arrested in Las Vegas over allegations linked to a 2021 attempt to meet a 13-year-old for sex. Prosecutors say new evidence prompted them to reopen the case and conclude there was enough evidence to file charges.

The 35-year-old faces allegations including attempting lewd acts with a child, contacting a minor to commit a sexual offence, and showing or distributing pornography to a minor. The incident took place in Bakersfield, California, where a decoy from a child-predator sting operation posed as “Sophie”; Moreland was not charged at the time, amid difficulties including a lack of cooperation from those who reported it. In an August documentary interview with journalist Chris Hansen, Moreland acknowledged going to meet the teenager intending to have sex, and is now due to be extradited to California.
