Disney+ President Alisa Bowen Exits to Join Fubo as CEO

The Hollywood Reporter · 2 hours ago

Fubo, the sports-focused streaming service, has appointed Disney veteran Alisa Bowen as its new chief executive, replacing co-founder David Gandler. The change matters because it signals a strategic shift for the company following its merger to combine its video service with Disney's Hulu + Live TV, placing an experienced Disney executive at the helm of the newly aligned business.

Bowen brings a decade of executive experience at Walt Disney, most recently as president of Disney+, and previously helped build out Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+, with earlier roles at News Corp., Dow Jones and Thomson Reuters. She said she intends to sharpen Fubo's strategy across sports, news and entertainment while driving growth and profitability. Gandler, who spent 11 years with the company, has resigned from the board and will not seek re-election. Bowen is expected to join the board, pending approval at the annual shareholders' meeting on 28 July 2026.
