Disney+ will exclusively stream Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu worldwide when the stop-motion series launches in 2027. The first official teaser, unveiled at Pokémon XP in San Francisco, introduces an Aardman Animation-made adventure set in the Galar region, marking a new Pokémon story told from the creatures’ perspective rather than that of Trainers.

The series follows Sirfetch’d, an aspiring knight, and Pichu, his playful but sensible squire, as they encounter Pokémon needing help and get into trouble. Its handcrafted Galar includes locations such as the Crown Tundra and Pokémon including Obstagoon, while the creators say it will combine Aardman-style comedy with action and familiar Pokémon moves; the studio spent dozens of hours playing Pokémon Sword and Shield while developing its version of the region.
