CVC Capital Partners has secured a controlling interest in DistroKid, the independent music distribution platform, with existing investor Insight Partners preserving a minority position. The company's leadership team, headed by President Phil Bauer, will continue operations under the new ownership structure.

DistroKid functions as essential infrastructure for the modern music industry, channelling releases from approximately four million artists and accounting for roughly forty percent of all new music launched globally. Since its 2013 launch, the platform has processed more than 45 million songs, establishing itself as a dominant intermediary between independent creators and global audiences.
