Dolly Parton's autobiographical stage show, *Dolly: A True Original Musical*, has set its Broadway dates, with previews beginning at the St. James Theatre on Monday 7 December and an official opening on 19 January 2027 — the country star's 81st birthday. The announcement was made by Parton and her producers, with tickets going on sale on 8 July. The production marks a significant Broadway arrival for one of country music's most enduring figures, telling her life story in her own words and songs.

The musical had its world premiere last summer in Parton's hometown of Nashville and features her classic hits, including "I Will Always Love You", "Jolene", "Coat of Many Colors" and "9 to 5", alongside new material. It is directed by Bartlett Sher, with a book co-written by Parton and Emmy winner Maria S. Schlatter, and a creative team that includes choreographer Mandy Moore and music supervisor Stephen Oremus. Casting and further details are due to be announced in the coming weeks.
