Dolly Parton’s estate has sued her former head of security and requested a restraining order, alleging he made violent threats while attempting to obtain money from estate manager Danny Nozell. The case matters because it involves alleged threats against Parton’s business and follows the dismissal of her nephew, Bryan Seaver, after more than 20 years protecting her properties.

Court filings reportedly include messages in which Seaver threatened to damage Parton’s brand and warned that people should fear what he might do. Seaver denied making threats, saying his remarks were private “rage talk” taken out of context, although he confirmed describing himself as a soldier, military contractor and “killer”; the allegations have not been proven in court.
