Don Lemon Signs Podcasting Deal With Libsyn in Move to Grow Network (Exclusive)

The Hollywood Reporter · 5 hours ago

Don Lemon has signed a three-year hosting and advertising deal with podcast platform Libsyn, marking a push to expand his independent media operation into a broader network. The agreement covers his flagship show, The Don Lemon Show, and companion programmes Lemon Live at 5, Hot Topics and Lemon Drop, with the former CNN anchor aiming to add shows from other creators and extend distribution to platforms such as MS NOW and FAST channels.

Lemon launched his show independently on YouTube and audio in 2024 after Elon Musk scrapped its planned debut on X, and it has since grown to 1.41 million YouTube subscribers, generating revenue through subscriptions, sponsorships and advertising. He said the Libsyn deal should bring in more advertising infrastructure to support his four-person team, and argued that independent journalists outside the political right struggle more to attract big advertisers. The interview also touched on his ongoing federal civil rights case, stemming from his arrest while covering an anti-ICE protest in Minneapolis in January, and his criticism of Bari Weiss potentially taking over CNN under its merger with Paramount.
