## Key points

- Viral photos showing Bezos and Statham with hair are fake.
- Reverse searches found the original bald photos from 2023 and 2011.
- Convincing celebrity edits can spread before social media flags them.

## Summary

Faked images suggesting Jeff Bezos and Jason Statham had grown or restored their hair have circulated on social media. The edits are fabricated, and the episode shows how convincing image manipulation can spread as celebrity gossip when platforms fail to flag it reliably.

Reverse image searches traced Bezos’s image to an unaltered 2023 photograph and Statham’s to a paparazzi photo taken in 2011; both originals showed them bald. The images had no detected Content Credentials or SynthID markers, so it is unclear whether AI was used. Hair transplants also require suitable donor hair, and Bezos showed no signs of the swelling often seen after surgery.
