Drake Teases a Remix of Ella Langley’s ‘Choosin’ Texas’ During DJ Set
Drake previewed a slowed-down remix of Ella Langley's country hit "Choosin' Texas" during a DJ set in Toronto on 30 August, further fuelling speculation about his interest in country music. The snippet featured his signature moody R&B vocal style layered over the track, with him changing "cowboy" to "cowgirl" in the chorus, though it remains unclear whether a full official remix will follow.
The teaser builds on a string of recent interactions between the pair: Drake praised Langley's songwriting earlier in August and attended her show in North Little Rock, Arkansas, while she has previously shown appreciation for his music on social media. Langley, 27, already has form collaborating with rappers, having featured BigXthaPlug on "Hell at Night" (No. 26 on the Hot 100) and Koe Wetzel on "Jaded" (No. 22). She resumes her Dandelion Tour in New Jersey on 10 September, while Drake is reportedly working on a new project titled "Fear of Missing Out."
