## Key points

- Druski became the first digital creator to host SNL.
- A major group of actors and comedians joined the curtain call.
- Talarico later embraced Chappelle and Rock.

## Summary

Comedian and digital creator Druski became the first digital creator to host NBC’s Saturday Night Live, drawing an unusually star-studded group to the programme’s curtain call. The turnout highlighted the attention his hosting debut attracted and the show’s willingness to choose hosts from outside traditional entertainment backgrounds.

Emma Stone and James Talarico appeared earlier in the programme, while Stone, Oscar winner Michael B. Jordan and Oscar nominee Austin Butler joined the farewell alongside Walton Goggins, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle and the cast. Jordan, Butler and Goggins have been filming Miami Vice ’85 in the New York area; musical guest The Strokes also took part. Online viewers debated whether Chappelle had snubbed Talarico during the goodbyes, though the article says Talarico was later seen embracing Chappelle and Rock.
