The Welsh singer Duffy has performed her first concert in 15 years, marking a significant step in her return to public life after she withdrew from the music industry following what she has described as a harrowing kidnap and assault ordeal. In 2020 she revealed she had been "raped and drugged and held captive over some days", and that her recovery had taken time. The comeback show matters as a visible milestone in that recovery and as part of a wider return that includes new music and a forthcoming documentary.

The intimate, "phone-free" gig took place at Hoxton Hall in London on 5 July, with a small audience selected by ballot, and was filmed professionally for an upcoming Disney+ documentary telling her story from her Welsh upbringing to her withdrawal and return. According to Setlist.FM, she played a seven-song set featuring new tracks such as 'Woman', 'One In A Million', 'Blue', 'Amen' and 'Joy', alongside her hits 'Warwick Avenue' and 'Mercy'. Duffy rose to fame with her 2008 debut 'Rockferry', the UK's best-selling album that year, followed by 'Endlessly' in 2010, and has since used her platform to encourage others to speak out about their experiences.
