Ed Harris will have an expanded role in the second season of "Dutton Ranch," the Yellowstone spin-off, after the actor said he felt "underused and inconsequential" in the first season. Harris revealed he had been told before signing on that he would be one of the show's four main characters, but felt this promise was not fulfilled once filming got under way, prompting him to raise his concerns with producers.

Speaking to Variety at the premiere of his new Apple TV film, "The Dink," Harris said he was assured his character will have more to do when Season 2 arrives. "Dutton Ranch" follows Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) as they relocate to the Texan town of Rio Paloma after leaving Montana, alongside fellow series regulars including Annette Bening and Finn Little. The first season ran for nine episodes.
