‘Dutton Ranch’ Star Natalie Alyn Lind Unpacks ‘Yellowstone’ Sequel’s Finale Bombshells
Actor Natalie Alyn Lind has discussed the shock twists that closed the first season of "Dutton Ranch," Taylor Sheridan's latest "Yellowstone" sequel series on Paramount+. In the finale, titled "El Padrino," her character, ranch heiress Oreana Jackson, discovers she is pregnant and then finds her father, Rob-Will (Jai Courtney), shot dead. The revelations matter because they set up major unresolved storylines for the already-commissioned second season.
Lind said she was surprised the finale delivered both bombshells at once, and that even she does not know the identity of the baby's father, though she personally believes it is Carter Green (Finn Little), the adopted son of Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton. Key questions remain for season two under new showrunner Benjamin Cavell, including the paternity of Oreana's child, whether she will now claim her family birthright, and the fate of her never-mentioned mother, whose backstory Lind says only she currently knows. Away from the series, Lind has also self-produced her own horror film, "Halloween Store," due for release later this year.
