Dwarf who dressed as Oompa Loompa for hen and stag dos pestered young girls for pics

Daily Mail · 2 hours ago

A dwarf who worked dressing up as an Oompa Loompa at hen and stag parties has been jailed after grooming and paying young girls to send him indecent images over a six-year period. Marc Corrieri, 33, from Motherwell in Lanarkshire, contacted his victims through social media apps, sending sexual messages and requesting explicit pictures and videos, in some cases paying them money for the material. The case is significant as it marks his second conviction for sexually pursuing schoolgirls, having previously been placed on the sex offenders' register for similar conduct connected to the same events job.

Corrieri admitted ten sexual offence charges at Hamilton Sheriff Court involving six victims aged between 13 and 17, with the offending occurring at his home between April 2019 and June 2025. Prosecutors said none of the victims knew him beforehand and he had initiated contact online, in one case paying a 14-year-old £150 via PayPal and continuing to pester another girl for images despite her asking him to stop. Sentencing was deferred for background reports and Corrieri was remanded in custody, with Sheriff Kevin McCallum KC describing the case as "very concerning" with no realistic alternative to a custodial sentence.

Marc Corrieri, 33, from Motherwell in Lanarkshire, worked as a children's entertainer of sorts at adult social events, dressing as an Oompa Loompa, the orange-faced character from Willy Wonka, for hen and stag parties. He has now been jailed after admitting ten sexual offence charges involving six girls aged 13 to 17, whom he contacted and groomed online over several years.

The case matters because it is Corrieri's second conviction for sexually targeting schoolgirls connected to the same events work, having previously been placed on the sex offenders' register for similar behaviour. Prosecutors said he approached the girls through social media, none of whom knew him beforehand, sent them sexual messages and asked for explicit images, sometimes paying for the material.

The offending took place at his home in Motherwell between April 2019 and June 2025 and was heard at Hamilton Sheriff Court, a Scottish court that deals with criminal cases including serious sexual offences. Sentencing has been deferred while background reports are prepared, and Corrieri has been remanded in custody in the meantime.
