Daily Mail · 3 hours ago

Surveillance footage from Oklahoma City has captured a man throwing a Molotov cocktail at a person using a wheelchair as they crossed a road, in what police are treating as a serious violent crime. The attack, described by the Daily Mail as "dystopian," took place in broad daylight directly opposite the city's police headquarters, and has drawn attention both for its brutality and for the vulnerability of the victim.

According to police, the incident occurred at around 8am on 2 July 2026. The victim has not been identified, while the named suspect is 38-year-old Alexander Emery, described as a felon with a 15-year criminal history that includes a prior arson conviction. The footage reportedly shows Emery walking past the wheelchair user before turning back, lighting the firebomb and throwing it directly at him, setting the wheelchair and ground alight; the victim then attempted to roll clear but was allegedly pushed, causing him to tip backwards into the flames.
