## Key points

- Joe Milton replaces Tanner McKee at quarterback.
- The switch follows six straight Eagles defeats.
- Milton faces the Giants on Sunday.

## Summary

The Philadelphia Eagles have replaced Tanner McKee with Joe Milton at quarterback, only two days after head coach Nick Sirianni said McKee would remain the starter. The change comes as the team seeks to halt a six-game losing run and find a spark ahead of Sunday’s match against the New York Giants.

McKee had started the previous three games after Jalen Hurts was ruled out for the season with blood clots, and Philadelphia lost each one. The Eagles signed Milton from the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad on 16 October; he has appeared in five NFL games, including a 2024 start for New England in which he passed for 241 yards and two total touchdowns. He will be the Eagles’ fourth quarterback to throw a pass this season.
