## Key points

- The $40 controller has a strong set of modern features.
- Its removable faceplate feels cheap and confusing.
- Clicky controls may suit some players more than others.

## Summary

The EasySMX S10 Lite is a budget Switch 2 controller with several appealing features, including Hall effect sticks, motion controls, strong haptics and tactile buttons. But its unusual removable faceplate feels cheap and awkward, undermining an otherwise promising gamepad.

The controller is light, compact and regularly listed for $40, compared with about $70 for many Switch 2 controllers and $90 for Nintendo’s Pro Controller. It has rear remappable buttons, nine-axis motion controls and adjustable haptics; its sticks feel soft and quiet, while its face and trigger buttons are clicky and rigid. The review also questions EasySMX’s marketing of custom faceplate options.
