## Summary

Michael Douglas has said Jack Nicholson is no longer working and is unlikely to act again, despite renewed speculation last year that he might return to the screen. Douglas, who says he still sees his friend and that Nicholson is well, spoke at an event in Swansea while promoting his memoir.

Nicholson, 89, has not formally announced his retirement, but his last film was *How Do You Know* in 2010. He won Oscars for *Terms of Endearment*, *As Good as It Gets* and *One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest*, and withdrew from a planned remake of *Toni Erdmann* in 2017; in 2013, he said he was simply less driven to be in the public eye.
