Edited footage of Charlie Kirk murder suspect fleeing WILL be played in court today, after Tyler Robinson’s FIVE alleged confessions to killing were revealed

Daily Mail · 2 hours ago

Edited surveillance footage that allegedly shows Charlie Kirk's accused murderer, Tyler Robinson, running across a rooftop and fleeing is due to be played in a Utah court on Friday, after the presiding judge reversed an earlier decision to block it. Judge Tony Graf, who is overseeing Robinson's pre-trial probable cause hearings, had initially barred the clip on Tuesday because prosecutors had added zooms and circled items of interest, warning that the editing 'could become problematic' before a jury. The ruling matters because the footage forms part of the prosecution's case in a high-profile assassination, and its admissibility has become a point of contention.

Prosecutors argued the video was accurate and that the edits were 'only added to make it easier to view', prompting Graf to allow the edited version on Thursday. Unedited, zoomed-out versions had already been shown at earlier preliminary hearings, but Kirk's family attorney complained that the wide shot was too difficult to follow. The reversal came after prosecutors presented what the article describes as bombshell evidence alleging Robinson had confessed several times to the killing, including police-interview footage of his former roommate and partner, Lance Twiggs, claiming Robinson had admitted to it.

  • Edited footage of Kirk's alleged killer fleeing will now be shown in court.
  • Judge Graf reversed his earlier block on the zoomed, annotated video.
  • Prosecutors say Robinson confessed to the killing several times.
