ElevenLabs has introduced Composer, an ElevenMusic editor that allows users to regenerate or alter individual song sections while leaving the remainder unchanged. The launch strengthens competition among AI music platforms as Suno and Google develop similar tools, and reflects a shift from simple song generation towards more controlled, production-style editing.

Users can create tracks from lyrics, recordings or prompts, then independently adjust a verse, bridge or chorus for style, tempo, key, energy, instrumentation and duration; Composer also offers multiple versions for comparison and permits structural rearrangement. It follows Suno Studio 2.0’s August 13 release and Google’s July 24 editing update, while ElevenLabs says nearly 14 million tracks had been created on ElevenMusic by March; unlike Suno and Udio, it also has licensing agreements with Merlin, Kobalt and Believe.
