Elizabeth Cook’s new album, Great Television, is her first since 2020 and arrives alongside The Easy Kind, a docudrama based on her life. Speaking after the death of her close friend Todd Snider, Cook describes the record as an act of service and advocacy, particularly for women trying to build careers in music.

The 11-track album was produced by Shooter Jennings at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles and includes collaborations with Wynonna Judd and Turnpike Troubadours singer Evan Felker. Its opening song, “Sunset Promenade”, honours three important women in Cook’s life through saved voicemails and verses shaped by her experiences of loss, isolation and a recent break-up.
