Elon Musk’s ex-girlfriend accuses him of sowing ‘deliberate division’ on X – video

The Guardian · 5 hours ago

A new documentary by film-maker Alex Gibney features Ashley St Clair, a former Maga influencer and one of at least 14 confirmed mothers of Elon Musk's children, accusing him of deliberately fostering division through his ownership of X. She warns that, without regulation, the platform's effects could be catastrophic, adding a prominent personal voice to long-running criticism of Musk's stewardship of the social media site.

In the film, titled Musk, St Clair says the billionaire told her by text that he wanted to have a child with her because he needed "a legion of children before the civil war." The pair had a son together in 2024 but have since split. St Clair also alleges Musk's team offered her a $40m lump sum plus a $100,000 monthly stipend in exchange for signing a non-disclosure agreement, before withdrawing the offer when she refused to sign.
