## Key points

- Eminem’s “Not Afraid” features in El-Sayed’s final campaign video.
- El-Sayed is challenging Mike Rogers for Michigan’s Senate seat.
- The music use follows Eminem’s collaboration with El-Sayed critic Kid Rock.

## Summary

Eminem has allowed US Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed to use his song “Not Afraid” in a final get-out-the-vote video aimed at Michigan voters. The endorsement is notable because it follows Eminem’s recent collaboration with Kid Rock, a vocal critic of El-Sayed.

El-Sayed is running against former congressman Mike Rogers for the seat held by Gary Peters since 2015. His campaign video uses Eminem’s 2010 song and a pun on its lyrics, saying he is “doing this for MI”; polls were open from 7am to 8pm on election day. Kid Rock recently compared El-Sayed to the 9/11 hijackers, while their 2026 collaboration “Heal My Faith” had a brief run on the Billboard charts.
