Emmy Awards: Nominations List (Updating)
The 2026 Emmy Award nominations have been announced, with the HBO Max medical drama The Pitt topping the field with 25 nominations. It was closely followed by the comedy Hacks with 24 nominations — a record for a comedy series in a single year — and the new series Widow's Bay with 19, the most of any freshman show. The announcements matter as they set the field for this year's ceremony and highlight HBO Max's dominance, as the platform led all networks and services with 122 nominations overall.
Other shows earning double-digit nominations included Pluribus (18), Beef (16), DTF St. Louis (13), and both Saturday Night Live and Spider-Noir with 11 apiece. The nominees were unveiled by past winners Liza Colón-Zayas and Jeff Hiller at the TV Academy's Saban Media Center, with the Academy opting to reveal all nominations on 8 July rather than splitting them across two dates, to better suit campaign schedules. The ceremony will be hosted by Mariska Hargitay — herself a nominee for her documentary My Mom Jayne — and will air live on NBC and Peacock on Monday 14 September, with the Creative Arts Emmys held on 5 and 6 September.
