Dakota Fanning has received an Emmy nomination for her supporting role in the Peacock limited series All Her Fault, while her sister Elle Fanning was nominated for the Apple TV+ comedy series Margo's Got Money Troubles. Speaking to Deadline during a break in filming, Dakota expressed delight at the sisters' simultaneous recognition, noting that it marks a second Emmy nomination for both. The dual nods highlight the continued rise of the Fanning sisters, who are also collaborating professionally for the first time.

In All Her Fault, Dakota plays Jenny, a friend of Sarah Snook's character Marissa, whose son vanishes during a supposed play date. Dakota also confirmed that filming has wrapped on The Nightingale, the sisters' first joint project as producers and stars, adapted from Kristin Hannah's bestselling novel, with post-production due to begin shortly. She discussed her forthcoming untitled Apple TV thriller from Alex Cary, in which she plays an undercover treasury agent alongside Stellan Skarsgård and Joely Richardson, as well as her SXSW-premiered film The Sun Never Sets, a love-triangle story releasing nationwide on 4 September.
