Emmy-Nominated ‘Pluribus’ Stars Rhea Seehorn & Karolina Wydra Talk Season 2, Sisterly Bonding & Details Of Seehorn’s New Film ‘Running’

Deadline · 2 months ago

The Apple TV+ drama Pluribus, created by Vince Gilligan, secured 18 nominations at the 2026 Emmy nominations announced on Wednesday, including Drama Series, Writing and Directing nods for Gilligan, and acting recognition for its cast. Lead Actress nominee Rhea Seehorn and Supporting Actress nominee Karolina Wydra spoke to Deadline about the haul, their emotional reactions and the show's forthcoming second season, marking a high point for a series its stars say they made out of genuine belief and affection.

Seehorn, who reunites with Gilligan after Better Call Saul, plays romantasy novelist Carol Sturka, one of the few people excluded from a global mind-melding "happiness" pandemic; Wydra plays her friend Zosia, and both praised their close, sisterly bond on set. Season two is in production, though Seehorn said she has yet to read scripts and remained coy about the finale cliffhanger involving an atom bomb. She is also currently filming the Gavin O'Connor-directed Apple film Running, playing a former high-level runner turned track-and-field coach, joking that she is the "least athletic person in the world".

  • Pluribus landed 18 Emmy nominations, including Drama Series and two acting nods.
  • Seehorn and Wydra described an emotional reaction and a close, sisterly on-set bond.
  • Season two is filming; Seehorn is also shooting the Apple film Running.
