## Summary

Barcelona thrashed Valencia 5-0 in La Liga on Sunday, with Lamine Yamal scoring twice as Hansi Flick's side maintained a perfect start to the season and moved three points clear at the top of the table. The result came after Real Madrid's 1-0 defeat at Real Betis on Friday, leaving Barcelona as the only top-flight team to have won all four of their opening fixtures this campaign.

Fermín López, Raphinha and Pedri also found the net at a tense Mestalla stadium, with Yamal opening the scoring in the sixth minute before completing his double late on after a Dani Olmo assist. Elsewhere in European football, Ronald Koeman Jr, son of the former Netherlands manager, scored two late penalties for Telstar to snatch a point against Cambuur in the Eredivisie, while in the Bundesliga, Mainz thumped Hamburg 5-0 and Augsburg moved top of the table with a 4-1 win at Eintracht Frankfurt.
