## Key points

- Attack on Titan 3 releases 10 December on Switch 2, PS5, PC and Xbox
- First new entry in the series in over eight years
- Even non-competing genres are avoiding GTA 6's 19 November launch

## Summary

Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force have set a 10 December release for Attack on Titan 3, the franchise's first new instalment in more than eight years. The game will adapt the manga's full story, including its divisive ending, but players will experience events through a customisable original character rather than series leads such as Eren, Armin or Mikasa. Notably, even this anime-inspired action title, which shares little with Rockstar's open-world crime game, has been scheduled to avoid launching near Grand Theft Auto 6 on 19 November, underlining how heavily that release is reshaping the autumn games calendar.

Pre-orders are now open, with a physical Steelbook edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition on offer; the latter includes cosmetic downloadable content, a digital art book and 72 hours of early access on all platforms except Nintendo Switch 2. Players with existing Attack on Titan 2 save data will also receive an in-game bonus. The game launches on Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PC and Xbox Series X, arriving alongside other December releases such as Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Switch 2 Edition, as most major new titles cluster into September, October or December to sidestep GTA 6 entirely.
