BBC Sport · 3 hours ago

Former Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has signed for Major League Soccer club Inter Miami, joining the side led by co-owner Sir David Beckham. The move follows his departure from Old Trafford at the end of last season after a mutual decision not to renew his contract, and comes as United reshape their midfield with new signings.

The 34-year-old Brazilian, who won five Champions League titles at Real Madrid before joining United in 2022, has agreed a deal running until the end of the 2027 season with an option to extend to June 2029. He made 160 appearances for United, scoring 26 goals and winning the EFL Cup and FA Cup, and started every game as Brazil reached the World Cup last 16 this summer. At Miami he reunites with former team-mate Sergio Reguilon and lines up alongside Lionel Messi and Rodrigo de Paul, while United have since signed Andrey Santos (£50m) and Youri Tielemans (£35m) to bolster their midfield.
