Republican Rep. Mike Collins is accusing Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff of hypocrisy over his criticism of wealthy donors as the “Epstein class”. Collins is urging Ossoff either to return a donation linked to billionaire Reid Hoffman or explain why accepting it is consistent with his opposition to billionaire influence in politics.

Hoffman gave Ossoff’s campaign the legal maximum of $7,000 and donated a further $1 million to New Engagement PAC, an Ossoff-linked group that has spent nearly $500,000 opposing Collins. Hoffman has acknowledged visiting Jeffrey Epstein’s private island and later apologised for associating with him, but has not been accused of wrongdoing; Ossoff’s campaign and the PAC were approached for comment.
