Actor Eman Esfandi, who plays Ezra Bridger, has said Star Wars creator Dave Filoni “went nuts” while developing Ahsoka season two, suggesting the next instalment will be more ambitious and surprising than its predecessor. His comments have raised expectations for the Disney Plus series, which ended its first season with several major characters stranded in another galaxy and its wider story unresolved.

Esfandi did not disclose plot details, but said Filoni’s ideas had impressed him and indicated that the new season would give fans plenty to anticipate. Ahsoka stars Rosario Dawson as former Jedi Ahsoka Tano, alongside Esfandi, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla; no release date for season two has been confirmed.
