Faith No More Reunite

Pitchfork · 1 day ago

Faith No More have announced a reunion, confirming four stadium dates with System of a Down in Australia and New Zealand for January and February 2026 – their first live shows since 2016. The announcement follows years of uncertainty about the band's future, with members giving conflicting signals about whether they would ever perform again, making this comeback notable after repeated false starts.

Mike Patton and the band had previously scrapped planned reunion dates in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic and Patton's mental health issues, including a diagnosis of agoraphobia. Bandmates Bill Gould, Mike Bordin and Roddy Bottum had all given pessimistic assessments of the group's prospects, with Bottum describing them as being on "semi-permanent hiatus." The newly confirmed shows, teased with a cryptic social media post in June before being formalised on 26 July, will see Faith No More co-headline alongside System of a Down in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Wellington.
