"Fall 2: Deadpoint", directed by the Spierig Brothers, is a sequel to the 2022 surprise hit "Fall" that largely succeeds in recreating the vertigo-inducing tension of its predecessor while introducing a new cast of climbers. The film follows Jax Hunter (Harriet Slater), sister of the first film's character Shiloh, who joins her sister's friend Luce (Arsema Thomas) on a dangerous mountainside trek in Thailand to honour Shiloh's memory, only for an earthquake to leave them stranded thousands of feet up. Variety's review calls it a mostly effective thrill ride, particularly on the big screen, though it says the film is held back by its tendency to mirror the personal drama and twists of the original.

The story sees Jax and Luce, guided by a local named John (Tom Brittney), attempt the treacherous "Devil's Elbow" plank walk, only to be cut off from their guide and stranded 4,000 feet up after an avalanche destroys their path. The review praises the Spierig Brothers' blend of set-based and real-location filming and the believable, POV-enhanced stunt work, but criticises the script, co-written by original "Fall" writers Scott Mann and Jonathan Frank, for recycling contrived personal revelations and a poorly timed third-act confrontation that undercuts the tension. Leads Slater and Thomas are singled out as likeable performers.
