## Summary

Bethesda has officially confirmed that remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas are in active development, ending years of speculation about the two beloved role-playing games from the PlayStation 3 era. The announcement came as part of a wider social media post outlining the studio's future plans, marking a significant moment for fans who have long wanted to revisit the games without relying on ageing PS3 hardware.

No release dates have been given, and Bethesda has not confirmed whether the remasters are being developed in-house or by an external studio, though Virtuos previously partnered with Bethesda on last year's Oblivion remaster for PS5. The same announcement also revealed that Obsidian Entertainment is officially working on a new mainline Fallout game, adding further detail to Bethesda's broader plans for the franchise.
