Odum’s pregnancy was complicated by severe pre-eclampsia, leading to HazelJo’s birth on 19 August. The baby underwent surgery within 24 hours to create a colostomy and is expected to need further operations; Odum relies on oxygen, feeding and nutrition tubes, and a wheelchair.
