The family of Glenwood “Bubba” Pysher, a 22-year-old college baseball player, is seeking answers after he was fatally shot by police in Upper Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania. They say he had mistakenly gone to the wrong house after leaving a friend’s birthday celebration, and question whether officers could have de-escalated the situation; the authorities are investigating the shooting.

Pysher was found behind a Snyder Road property after its occupants reported a possible break-in, and officers fired their weapons, striking him twice. His mother says he was unarmed and carrying only a phone and backpack, while the reason officers drew their weapons remains unclear; surveillance footage is being reviewed by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. Pysher had recently transferred to Saint Elizabeth University and was due to begin classes and play baseball there the following day.
