## Key points

- A fight cleared several rows during Oilers-Devils.
- A witness said insults about Canada sparked the confrontation.
- New Jersey won 4-3 in a shootout.

## Summary

Fans brawled in the stands during Tuesday’s Edmonton Oilers-New Jersey Devils game, clearing several rows and drawing attention away from a match that ended in a shootout. The video shows a man in a camouflage shirt fighting with people behind him, while another fan is pulled down into a lower row.

The footage does not show what started the fight; a person who said they sat beside the man claimed the others had been insulting Canada and continued after he warned them. The witness said both men involved in a separate struggle were ejected, though the article does not independently verify the account. The Devils won 4-3 in a shootout, meaning any ejected Devils fans missed the deciding result.
