Fans Choose The Rolling Stones’ ‘Foreign Tongues’ as This Week’s Favorite New Music
The Rolling Stones' new album Foreign Tongues has been voted the favourite new release in this week's Billboard readers' poll, published on Friday 10 July. The classic rock band's 25th studio album topped the vote ahead of new music from YEONJUN, Beyoncé and Feid, underlining the enduring appeal of the veteran group among Billboard's audience.
By the poll's close on Sunday, Foreign Tongues had secured 42% of the vote, ahead of YEONJUN's No Labels: Part 02 (36%), Beyoncé's "Morning Dew (Donk)" (nearly 8%) and Feid's A Xon De Que (more than 7%). The album features 14 tracks — 12 originals plus covers of Amy Winehouse's "You Know I'm No Good" and Chuck Berry's "Beautiful Delilah" — and was recorded with producer Andrew Watt at Metropolis Studios in West London, with contributions from Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Robert Smith and Chad Smith. Drums by the late Charlie Watts, recorded before his 2021 death, feature on "Hit Me in the Head", while singles "In the Stars" and "Jealous Lover" preceded the release.
