## Summary

The FBI searched a California home in the Los Angeles region linked to an ongoing criminal investigation involving former US Congressman Eric Swalwell, according to US media reports. The search adds to an inquiry that has already included a raid on his Washington DC home and the seizure of his electronic devices.

The Justice Department confirmed an FBI operation in the Los Angeles region but gave no further details. Swalwell, 45, left California’s governor’s race and Congress after multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct, including rape and sending unsolicited nude photographs; he denies wrongdoing, and his lawyer has called the accusations fabricated. Separate probes are under way in New York City and Los Angeles, while an earlier House ethics inquiry ended when he left Congress.
