Fears grow for missing 14-year-old girl who has not been seen for two weeks as family friend says: ‘We just want you home safe’
Bedfordshire Police and the family of a missing 14-year-old girl named Lexi have issued a fresh appeal for information, as she has now not been seen for two weeks. A close family friend, Jessica Fensome, recorded a video message urging Lexi to make contact and return home, stressing that she is "not in any trouble" and that loved ones simply want her back safely. The case matters because concern for the teenager's welfare is growing the longer she remains missing.
Lexi was last seen leaving her home in Houghton Regis on 24 June. She is described as 5ft 2in with a fair complexion, blue eyes, long straight ginger hair and a silver nose ring, and was last seen wearing pale blue cycling shorts, a dark grey t-shirt and black sliders. Police released Ring doorbell footage from the day of her disappearance in an effort to prompt potential witnesses, and Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Rivers said officers were "growing increasingly concerned" and appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
